Sander Wit

Sander is a tutor and lecturer in Security Studies at Leiden University, where he teaches in the Skills Labs, Vital Interests, War & Peacebuilding, Security & Law, lectures on politics and culture around the 2011 Japanese nuclear disaster in Case Study: Fukushima, and guides students to make creative non-fiction films on security topics in Integrated Project. He has a MA in International Relations and a MA in Asian Studies, and studied Japanese in Tokyo and Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan. He previously worked as a research assistant at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael in The Hague. His research interests focus on international relations and security, foreign policy, and the politics of popular culture, all with a strong regional focus on East Asia.
