Alexander Kamprad is a researcher at Transcrime (Joint Research Centre on Transnational Crime) and Ph.D. candidate in Criminology at the Catholic University of Milan. He has recently concluded a research affiliation at the European University´s Institute for the Rule of Law in St. Petersburg. Alexander holds a Master´s degree in International Criminology from the University of Hamburg. Prior to joining Transcrime, he has conducted traineeships and internships at the EEAS, UNODC, the German foreign service and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation´s Rule of Law Programme for Latin America. His main research interests include violence in transitional contexts and patterns of interaction between collective and interpersonal violence.
